I bought x60 tablet almost for free so I don't want to invest any money in bouing a new battetry for my x60 tablet. My batt out of a sudden went dead. I got a working one from x41 tablet soI swopped the working inside with all the necessary soldering but now it still doesn't work. I gt no genuine batt message. Can You tell mi if the electronic parts from the ol lenovo can work with the new one?

I'm pretty certain that it won't.

You must have noticed that X41 and X61 have different battery connectors.
Are you saying that you modified the X61 motherboard connector to accommodate an X41 battery?
I don't think that can work.

Not to mention the X4x series uses a previous generation of LiIon chemistry from what I can tell. The X6x expects a battery using a cathode that gives a 3.7V average voltage (4.2V charge cutoff) and the X4x wants an older generation 3.6V (with 4.1V cutoff). The smart batteries know what chemistry they are, and the mobo knows to check. I'm not certain that's what's causing your trouble, but if IBM wrote the firmware right, it certainly should.
