after win10 upgrade, wacom sensitivity too low

#1 Post by barushki » Fri Apr 22, 2016 9:02 pm

I have two X61t SXGA+ machines. I upgraded one of them as follows:

- Win10 Educational 64 bit
- 8 GB RAM (Patriot Signature 2x4GB)
- 128 GB SSD (Samsung MMCRE28G8MXP-0VBL1)
- Intel 6300 wireless card
- Middleton's BIOS upgrade for SSD performance
- BlueFrog's TRIM upgrade for SSD performance

Everything went great --- except for the pen pressure sensitivity. Although I configured it to be maximum, I have to press the pen way harder than I used to.

The (in)sensitivity does not seem application specific: it is the same during calibration as it is, say, in OneNote. My other X61t still has XP, so there is a direct comparison and my muscle memory is not failing me.

I even applied the method given by "thatcomicsguy" in a tabletpcreview forum that shows how the Wacom driver config file can be manually tweaked, to no avail.

I am out of ideas. Anyone?

Try swapping the red stylus for a fresh one.
Or try the stylus from the XP machine?
