X61 - new LCD rear cover and upper case

Hello,
Is it possible to install an LCD rear cover and upper case, both with IBM logo, to a X61 7674 (not tablet)?

I noticed there aren't many available on ebay....

Yes, but you can also install ones with Lenovo logo on them.
The IBM and Lenovo logos are just stickers that you can easily swap.

I insist on the ones with IBM logo for... old times' shake

I couldn't find them on ebay anymore, the lcd cover especially.

Is there any other reliable merchant?

I think this is an FRU for the X60 model. Will it fit to X61?

PS. Thanx for the quick replies....The laptop is second hand with an lcd cover in a very bad shape...

Does anybody know if X60 LCD rear covers can be used without problems to X61 models?

I only know for sure that you can swap motherboards between X60/X61.
Someone else chime in please about lids.

Yes, the lids of x61 and x60 can be swapped.

I have a dozen spare x6x lids, unfortunately, they all, have the Lenovo.
The IBM lids are much harder to find.

I do not understand your question. What is TMD and what is SWPG?
Did you mean TN panel and SXGA+?

There is one size lid (panel cover) for the x60, x60s, x61, x61s. Any screen for these models, or the tablet versions, will (physically) fit in the lid. There are more complicated problems with putting (some) of the x60t/x61t tablet screens into a non-tablet machine -- the pins may be different. I do not know exact details of which screens require which modifications.

TMD is the (rare) Ultralight (and very bright) model.

When new, the screen was 180 nits. 'Very bright' compared to the other CCFL screens in 2006.
