X61 just switches off

#1 Post by karotlopj » Sat Jun 24, 2017 1:51 pm

Recently my X61 has developed this annoying habit of just switching off. Could this be due to overheating? I can't see what else it might be. I can switch it on again after half an hour or so.

Coretemp will worktoo.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
