X60s/61s Prismatic
These batteries are so hard to find, I finally found one and it was DOA despite it being new old stock. It was manufactured in 2013 and dead as a doornail.
Why aren't there any 3rd party batteries with the prismatic form factor? I imagine the modern day cells could pack a lot more mAh than back when they were first produced. Any options if I don't want a hump? Maybe giving this one a jolt to revive it?

(a) Probably modern day cells are not so much more efficient as you would hope.SynbiosVyse wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2018 1:13 pmWhy aren't there any 3rd party batteries with the prismatic form factor? (b) Probably no one cares.
Take the existing dead battery and re-cell it (yourself or take it to a specialist). See how much total Wh you can get, I'd be curious to find out.

Re: X60s/61s Prismatic
Anyone know what kind of form the cells inside this battery have?
Got hold of a X61S with this battery.
Guess it could not be 18650 cells.

Re: X60s/61s Prismatic
Just an FYI...
I had four X60T/61T batteries re-celled about a year ago locally with prismatic cells.
They came back with the same re-charge capacity (64WH) as the originals, and hold a charge for about as long as did the original cells.
I sold one to Ajkula66 and have been using the other 3 batteries for the last year, and they are holding up very well. The only "issue" is that the "Manufacture Date" was ten years NEWER that the "First Used Date"!
Regards.

Re: X60s/61s Prismatic
The cells inside are rectangular, like those for cell phones. I've opened two 8 cell X61 Tablet batteries, which contain 4 18650s and 4 rectangular ones. It's very likely the 4-cell prismatic uses the same cells. I couldn't find any labels or markings that would identify their exact type though.
