SXGA+ from other laptops.
If the X60T wasn't the only unit to use a SXGA+ IPS panel. I'm eyeing a unit that I think comes with an SXGA+ panel but I know the XGA panel is the one from the X41T. Can the X41T panel go in the X60T and is there EDID problems with machines from other manufacturers?

Re: SXGA+ from other laptops.
I don't think so as the connectors are different AFAIK. I do know that the complete screen assembly fits perfectly in a X61T body making for a simple Frankenpad mod similar to the T60/T61 mod. I have about 4 X601T in this configuration that is awesome. I use it more than my T601 Frankenpad.

Re: SXGA+ from other laptops.
My quick google search tells me they have the same connector. I'm referring to the X41T's XGA panel and the X61T XGA and SXGA+ panels.
From Thinkwiki
HT12X21-100 X41 Tablet found Datasheet
HV121X03-100 X60 Tablet, X61 Tablet found Datasheet
Both specify DF19L-20P-1H (HIROSE) or equivalent as their connector. Pinout seems consistent too.
I don't know about the SXGA+ panel you're eyeing. If the laptop is a Motion Computing LE 1700 / T006 like the one in this thread, it has a Boe-Hydis panel compatible with the X60T/61T. But there are LE 1700 models with an incompatible Toshiba panel, as described here.
The LE1700 with ViewAnywhere displays use Toshiba panels, which are NOT pin-compatible!
The LE1700 with UltraViewAnywhere uses "our" Hydis -101, but they are even harder to find than
an X6x with SXGA. It doubt if it´s possible to connect the Toshiba panel because of using dual LVDS.
The Toshiba panel is: LTD121KM2M, it es easy to find about $30..
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch

Re: SXGA+ from other laptops.
It was a LE1700 with the View Anywhere SXGA+ screen. If that screen is complatible I'm going to snatch it up.

As stated in my previous post, quoted from viewtopic.php?f=30&t=115629Thinkpad4by3 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 6:09 amIt was a LE1700 with the View Anywhere SXGA+ screen. If that screen is complatible I'm going to snatch it up.
Here's the Toshiba LTD121KM2M's datasheet. The LE1700 with ViewAnywhere displays use Toshiba panels, which are NOT pin-compatible!

Of particular note is the connector: FI-XB30SRL-HF 11 / JAE, which is a 30-pin connector, completely different from the Hydis IPS LCDs.
Another complication is that the Toshiba panel is dual LVDS, as already mentioned, and the X60/61 platform is only single LVDS.
Bottom line: not compatible.

I checked, its a LE1700 T006 machine. Does that change anything?

Re: SXGA+ from other laptops.
To be completely honest, I don't know. I'm only quoting people who have actually opened up LE1700's and posted their findings here.Thinkpad4by3 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 15, 2018 6:36 amI checked, its a LE1700 T006 machine. Does that change anything?
Since "View Anywhere" was explicitly mentioned and not "UltraViewAnywhere", it's more likely to be a Toshiba panel rather than a Hydis (it's already been mentioned that LE1700's with the Hydis panel are rare).
On the other hand, if you're willing to take the risk (or consider the price to be cheap enough to be inconsequential), go ahead and buy it.
