X61t BSOD on Undock Win7 Pro

#1 Post by rheacox » Mon Sep 23, 2019 7:15 am

Just like the title says. If I press the undock button on the ultrabase the system immediately blue screens. Same thing will happen if I select undock from the start menu. I will get more info on the blue screen when I get home but everything else works great and I can hot dock the laptop just fine. Running Win7 pro 32-bit from a set of x201 recovery discs. Has anyone else had this issue?

Prior to seeing any details on the BSOD, I suspect LAN or Wireless LAN drivers.

What happens if you don't press the undock button and just pull the laptop off the base?

Blue screen was REFERENCE_BY_POINTER

According to bluescreenview it was caused by hardlock.sys. What does hardlock.sys do?
