Hello,
I'm stuck here scratching my head. I bought a VERY clear X60. Came with Windows 7, booted up fine and all's good when running the old HDD with Windows 7 on it. I switch to a SSD with Debian on it, gets to the grub screen, hit enter to load Debian, and screens goes black with a cursor and simply doesn't proceed. Does the same with trying to boot from a USB except it goes straight to the black screen with flashing cursor.
Any help what cold be the problem ? I've switched back to the HDD with Windows 7 and the system is working properly. What could be happening between the drive switches ??
Thanks in advance for everyone's help !!

Just a thought....

Is your Debian installation 32-bit?

The X60-series won't boot a 64-bit installation of either Debian or Windows. :BAAAD!:

Regards.
