X61 CMOS battery

#1 Post by karotlopj » Mon Apr 26, 2021 3:34 pm

Is the CMOS battery on an X61 secured in place? I've disconnected it but it seems as if it may be glued. Is there a trick to removing it?

There's usually double-sided tape that holds it to the system board. Just pry it up gently from one side and it should come free.
