Flashing bios without battery

Hi!
I have an X61s and I would like to put Middleton's bios on it. The problem is that I dont have a functioning battery, and I dont want to buy one just for this update. I only use the laptop on my desk with a charger so there is no point of buying a battery.
Is there a way to bypass the low battery error and continue to the flash?
i know that I can brick the laptop if the power goes out but I have an UPS.

Make a battery extension cord and beg/steal/borrow any working battery from any Thinkpad in between T60/R60/X60 and T440/T540/W540/X240 (and a few others).

Thanks, this helped:
- Run WinPhlash.exe;
- Select $01AF000.FL1 file;
- Click "Flash BIOS" button.

Now I can use faster network cards. 8)

Hi,

I updated the bios of an ideapad without a battery, it might work for your
machine. The youtube video of the process can be found here:

Hope this helps.

Good luck!
