Gary, five bucks says they ship yours really soon. (figurative bet) They moved my est. ship date by about a month...then by a day...then a few hours later it shipped. All of these date changes happened all of the sudden, these being the only changes since I ordered the system...sound familiar?

i must be lucky, ordered 03/21, original est ship date 04/14. check yesterday, it was moved to 04/23. then got an email this morning saying it was shipped today 03/25. can't wait for it to get here.

Got a ship notification this morning!

Ordered mine on 3/15. The ship date had moved out to 5/2.

I think that alot of these people who got email confirmation that their's shipped were confused, as I was, about what was shipping. I read the whole page carefull and discovered that my spare battery is coming but not the thinkpad. That is still May XX. If I am wrong and everyone else is getting theirs... I am happy for you.

I got a delivery email from lenovodirect last Saturday. But the order status link in the email pointed to a different customer id! This must be a pre-April fool joke and it's not funny. My estimated shipping status has changed to one day later (from original 4/20/2006) every day, now it's 4/24/2006. Lenovo should learn something about logistics from dell.

Another thing they could learn from Dell is that Dell charges you the day you place the order and if you have to wait 2 months for delivery that is fine they still have your money the whole time. I am glad Lanovo has not learned that.

Wierd...mine finally got out of china and now..."THE SHIPMENT IS BEING HELD BY BROKERAGE FOR REASONS BEYOND UPS' CONTROL" in louisville kentucky...or so says ups tracking. I suppose this is because it's an import, but then again they didn't hold my ram. I hope nothing bad happens...

It's normal....

IBM usually import hundreds laptops or others in the same time....

they just stuck in the airport and wait for clearance (too many things)

it's usually take 2~3 days for clearance...

The delivery date for my X60 was weird too. I ordered on 03/14/06. If I recall correctly, I received an e-mail notification that my delivery date was advanced to 04/22/06 from early April. A couple of days ago I received notice that the X60 had already been shipped. Today, I checked on its status and it had cleared Ontario, California and been shipped up to Alaska! That was weird since I reside in Seattle. I am expecting delivery of the X60 tomorrow, Tuesday 03/28/06 or at latest, Wednesday 03/29/06. As usual, I will wait to see what transpires.

I received my X60s (1704-69U) yesterday. It took several days for it to clear customs in Louisville, KY. So far I love the machine.

I guess Lenovo wants to ship the products as many as possible to bring in revenues for this quarter. After 5 days from my order, the product was shipped! However, it got stuck at the export office in Shanghai.

(okay...now this is really odd. First of all, notice how my package has transcended the bonds of space and time by going back in time by 31 minutes, and also how it managed to travel from Kentucky to of all places Alaska...which is much further away from me than kentucky is...in negative 31 minutes. Can anyone make any sense of this?)

(All right...so now we're right back to kentucky...hopefully it won't fall into that slip in the space-time continuum again that they seem to have there. Notice how all the other entries have a comment labelled "activity" which is there to tell you exactly what is being done to the package...now it's empty...as if it's just sitting there lonely and forgotten.)

well, as far as i know, all UPS scan time are local time. so 1:37PM in Kentucky is like 9:30AM in Alaska, but it still means took UPS less then 4hrs to go from KY to AK, which is amazingly fast...like supersonic speed. why UPS decides to go form KY to AK then back to KY again is beyond me...

Oh, odd that they'd use local time for that area, but at least now I'm not as confused.

Arrg, UPS is staring to tick me off...

"A CORRECT STREET NUMBER IS NEEDED FOR DELIVERY. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION;THE ADDRESS HAS BEEN CORRECTED. THE DELIVERY HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED"

Could they not read the address on the box or something? It still shows rescheduled for today but I am not getting my hopes up.

Ordered 3/14. Arrived in USA 3/27. Held by the Feds for two days. Delivered 3/29.

Ordered FEBRUARY 14, still waiting for ship, says 5/20.

Darn!!!

Welp, the website says it shipped today, but I don't have a valid UPS tracking number AND my credit card hasn't been charged so...

Shows leaving Shanghai, CN on 3/30/06 at 9:27am...

To bad I'm in San Jose for the next week. Maybe I can wave at it as it flys over to Atlanta

Says 4.90kgs some I'm guessing its the whole thing.
