AFAIK, only bluetooth version 2.0 could support stereo sound application, which means you can enjoy music/dvd movie of great sound quality via a stereo bluetooth earphone and get rid of annoying earphone wires or additional wireless earphone devices.
All X serials before x60 are using 1.1 version, how about x60/s?

Unfortunately, in this case TABOOK does not tell you everything. It simply says that some models have Bluetooth via the Intel ICH7-M chipset. I pulled up the datasheet at Intel for the ICH7-M and unfortunately could not determine which Bluetooth support it has. I can not even confirm that the ICH7-M handles Bluetooth.
My guess (and only a guess) would be that Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR would be supported, since the Core Duo utilize Intel's latest chipset.
Perhaps someone that really knows the definitive answer will chime in here?

According to T60 Hardware Maintenance Manual, the bluetooth module (BDC2) is EDR capable. I haven't seen EDR being implemented on v1.2, I am fairly confident that it's 2.0 EDR.
Thinkpad 2.0 EDR support started with Z60. X60 and T60 should have it as well.

You're right. I glanced at it hurriedly before I posted the FAQ reference and just saw the Bluetooth and 2.0 reference in this and put them together in my head:
Bluetooth wireless technology / USB 2.0 interface via ICH7-M
Sorry
