Despite a few hiccups with the VZ Access software and a few other minor setup aspects, my X60 is up and running and will be my main work computer... the machine just feels good with a very solid build, great screen and good keyboard... I am an old 600x holdout who always complains about keyboards but they started getting it right again with the T series and this keyboard is more than acceptable although I can see how some feel its slightly under some of the X permutations in solidity... the machine is well balanced and a pleasure to use... the right wristwrest does get warm but not hot and the machine runs VERY quiet with a very silent fan... much quieter than the X41 Tablet that I tried and sent back when they first came out... that machine also suffered from an awful burning plastic smell that is nowhere to be found on this new X60...
I do wish they would figure out how to jam a CD drive into the box... Sony can do it, why cant Lenovo? I hate the ultrabase although its implemented pretty well here...
Overall I am quite pleased with the machine... and with Lenovo's overall approach to build and finish... even the packing seems to be better handled than the last few machines I got from IBM...
