Currently have an X41 which I purchased about 5-6 months ago. Does anyone have experience with how much faster the X60 is over the X41?
Particularly annoyed when starting a new applicaiton or on booting up XP. It takes such a long time on the X41. Wondering if switching to the X60 will make a big difference?

I just upgraded to an X60S from an X40. I think that the X40 and 41 have the same startup issues. No matter how much I tried to optimize, boot times were very long.
The X60s feels insanely quicker than the X40. XP boots up very quickly, and opening up multiple applicaitons at the same time is very smooth, no slow downs.

I have been using X40(1GHz/40GB) ---> X41(1.5GHz/60GB) ----> X60s(1.66GHz/100GB7200RPM ---> will change to 120GB/5400RPM).
X60s FAN is quiet as same as X40,41. So Noise level mainly dominated by Harddrive noise(ie:seek noise, retracting noise,,,,etc).
Generally fast Hardrive is not quiet ,also 2.5" HDD( 7200rpm noise >5400,4200 )is louder than 1.8"HDD(4200rpm).
But as you know , Hitachi Harddrive acoustic noise level can be controlled by firmware(Feature tool).
My Seagate 100GB/7200rpm(SATA) is bit quiet than others,but it will be replaced by Seagate 120GB/5400rpm(SATA) to increase Battery operating time of my tiny X60s.
