backup CDs to reinstall windows, etc.

#1 Post by amgdoc » Tue May 02, 2006 11:16 pm

I have no idea to post this. Mods feel free to move. I'm hoping those that switch to Lenovo could chime in.

I know that under IBM, after I purchased my x40, I called IBM and had them ship CDs (I think about 6-7 of them) to restore my system since I reclaimed my 'Rescue/Recovery Space'. I believe there was a 14 day policy to call and get the CDs, but not sure.

Does anyone know what the Lenovo policy of this? I which to reclaim the space, but still need ability to reinstall the system just in case. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind. I just noticed the thinkvantage 'rescue and recovery backup CD' program.

I need new eye glasses, I cannot see clearly.
