hot ac adapter

#1 Post by ArtDove » Sat May 20, 2006 6:59 am

Is it normal for the 65-watt ac adapter to be literally burning hot while it is charging the x60s? The adapter is placed in a well-ventilated area.
In contrast, the ac adapter for my T42 ran only moderately warm when charging.

If as you describe, then no. Electronic items are never happy to be so hot you would burn yourself, and life expectancy of the item declines very rapidly at high temperatures. ... JD Hurst

I got the same problem here.
when it is charging, the"90W ac adapter is attached"message will be noticed in the Battery information interface.

I have been working here for 6 hours and felt my 65w adapter to see if it was hot, only to find out that it's barely warm. So there is definitely something wrong with yours. I'm sure they will be happy to replace it.
