New Intel/Wireless 3945 drivers messed up my connections

I just have used the ThinkVantage software to look for new updates on my X60. I noticed there was a new driver for the Intel/Pro Wireless and decided to install it. After rebooting, my WIFI connection does not work anymore (at least using the Access Connections software) and the F5 button fails to power on or off the WIFI. I have to say that using windows as an alternative for the WIFI, it just works fine (so the driver seems to be installed).
I am just wondering if some of you experienced this....

does this mean that would should avoid updating this new driver until a permanent fix is issued? im currently using the previous 10.1.0.13 dated 12/4/05 and not really experiencing problems so i'm wanted to know if it's worth changing.
thanks

@ abb: you see for some of them it works.... With the previous versin, I experienced fast changing in signal strength without moving ... That is why I decided to move

are you saying that not all people have experienced this lack of functionality of the f5 button when updating to the new driver? was this f5 button a pre-existing problem to many users prior to the driver update? i read that ibm help link that the previous poster put up and seems a like a complicated problem. did ibm issue that help link in response to the driver update or prior to it if it was a pre-existing problem?
i read the fixes for the this new driver and it doesnt seem that I am experiencing any of the noted problems. (possibly the intermittent resume/suspend but i think that might be a common problem with wireless)
