Does anyone know which X60s models come with a 1.8" harddisk? I heard that a few models do. I'm interested because they should have less heat and less power consumption than the 2.5" models do.

Only the models for the Japanese market. See tabook.

I have a brand x__ computer with the 1.8" hard drive and there is absolutely no noticeable difference in power consumption when compared to my X60s. The big difference that _I do_ notice is the speed. The 5400 rpm drive in the X model is really fast. As far as heat is concerned, there is no heat issue whatsoever. In this class of size and form factor _Nothing_ comes close to the X series.

This is a terrific notebook...
