Display settings change when lid closes

When I close the lid to my x60s, the display settings change to 800x600. I like to have my machine setup so that I can close and reopen w/o hibernating, standing by or anything else. I've got those settings right but can't find what is changing my display properties.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. =]

Apparently, it has something to do with Presentation Director.

That's exactly the problem. Looks like the only person that has a solution just uninstalled the presentation director sw. sigh.

Ha, yet another reason to remove all the bloated software that comes by default with the standard install and leave only the necessary processes running. I had simmilar problems but with wireless and as soon as I got rid of Access connections all was peachy.

I've reinstalled Presentation Director, and the problems have gone away!? I dunno, this is a funky issue.

Access Connections is much better than it used to be. I had some problems initially, and now its fine. *shrugs*

I uninstalled presentation director, but my screen still blinks after I open the lid... so its:

1) Open lid
2) LCD turn on
3) LCD turn off for < 1 second
4) LCD turn back on

What's up with that?

Where is the installation file for presentation director?

Reinstalling that seems to be WELL worth a shot and probably the most reasonable solution here.
