Replacement of "standard memory" on x60s?

Just wanted to confirm with the group about the replacement of what the tabbook states as "standard" memory.

About to purchase the 170258U x60s, which comes with 512 standard, but I will want to max it out with 2GB right off the bat. (reason to choose this model is it the configuration is just what I want: the HD, wireless chipset, the 8-cell included, and no ultrabase that I do not need, bluetooth, fingerprint, etc..).

I am an owner of an X40 (ok, let me rephrase, my wife now "owns" an x40 :-) ), and of course the "standard" memory on my X40 model is not replaceable.

Just to triple check, the standard memeory on the X60s, IS replaceable correct?

The purchase of the 170258U plus 2x1GB additional sticks (with the 1 stick obviously replacing the 1 stick of "standard" memory), the other in the open slot, is possible right?

Me, scared from not being able to replace the standard memory on my X40? Nahhhhhh....never :-)

Cheers,
Greg

You have access to both memory slots...there's a little panel on the bottom that comes off with two screws. I ordered mine with the least memory I could get with the other features I wanted and then put a 1GB stick in each slot.

Yes, it's the easiest of all the current 60 series. I did mine in the blink of an eye...
