Installing Internet Information Services (IIS)

#1 Post by viper81 » Sun Jul 02, 2006 7:24 pm

Hello everyone,

I've just purchased an x60 and tried installing the IIS. However, I'm experiencing difficulties as it took me more than an hour installing and it isn't even fully installed. Anyone experienced this too?

Why are you installing Internet Information Services?

Are you using this X60 as a server?

Hi JHEM, thank you for your reply.

Actually, I am using ASP for my school project and so I need the IIS. :) I am running it locally.

I understand that I'm not supposed to use it as a server but.. :P

Yes, I'm using both of them. :P

Do you mean to uninstall both, then install IIS and lastly to reinstall Norton antivirus/firewall?
