Lenovo may have fixed heat problem
I just purchased an x60s and after being connected wirelessly (altheros) for several hours (steaming video, web browsing, aim).. my APS censor never went above 44 C.. i have some friends who received the same model recently and theirs too tops off around 45 C..
so maybe lenovo did sometihng?
just thought i would share cuz it seems many people here are concerned about warm palm rests

They may very well have done something to correct it; can you view the power usage via Access Connections?

Double click the the WiFi Bar/Strength tray icon in the Taskbar. Then look for a field marked "Current Transmit Power."getlow wrote: how do i view the power usage in access communications?

Strange, as Version 4.12 of Access Connections, which I have, should display it.
It might be that the Atheros cards don't support that feature, but I haven't personally checked to see if that is the case.
Although that isn't as important so much as the temperature reduction.
