Yeah, it looks like our machines are on the same shipment. I'm frustrated, since my tablet sleeve (on a different shipment) has been on a FDA hold in Louisville since Saturday as well.

I'm hoping it clears up soon. When the "Exception" status cleared yesterday, I thought I would get it delivered this morning, but I guess that's not the case now.

From what I've read, it usually takes 1-3 days to clear customs, but I could not find someone with a Lenovo shipment that has gone through the holds ours have gone through so far. So, who knows.

Ah, ya beat me to it by seven minutes! heh.. But, yeah, here's keeping my fingers crossed. I'm almost in the same boat as you. I need the computer for a job this Thursday.

Rescheduled Delivery: 04/10/2007

We can hope that date is accurate. But I've had my fair share of UPS mis-schedulings to know that it could actually mean 4/11, 4/12, or 4/13. And with customs involved, who knows?

Fly - Did you pay for 2 day shipping or did you use the standard shipping with Lenovo?

I paid for the 2-day delivery. Personally, I don't know how they can call it "2-day" when it seems like most shipments get held up in customs for multiple days.

Ok, good. I was going to be upset if people with the "free" delivery got their shipment as soon as those of us who paid the extra for the 2-day. If I don't have it tomorrow, I'm asking for a refund of the shipping charge.

Yep, same here. I'm debating calling up both Lenovo and UPS this evening to complain about the delay. My previous Dell laptop was shipped in from China (where else?) and came via FedEx. There were none of these delay issues, so I know they can be avoided. Ugh..

As you can see below, 1.) Mine went through customs without a hitch on the same day as yours and 2.) I missed the first delivery attempt!!!!! Argh!!!! I can't believe it. BTW, I paid for 2-day delivery also. Good luck with your shipment, I'm sure everything will get cleared up soon...

Looks like yours is in a different shipment than ours....looks like you got lucky (or we got really un-lucky!) Boo!

I hate this waiting game. I feel like I'm 7 years old and am waiting on presents on Christmas morning.

But these aren't gifts...we paid a lot of money for these new toys!

Normally I wouldn't mind the waiting so much, but my previous laptop (a piece of Dell rubbish) self-destructed a little over a week ago. So, I've been without a laptop for business activities and it's really starting to bug me. You don't realize how much you use one of these things until it's gone. heh..

Anyhow, here's hoping that our laptops get shipped soon. Even though they're still sitting in Kentucky for a "special customs delay."

... and you would be right. I completely forgot about that. The UPS guy just dropped by and I have an X60 box in my hands as I type this. Well, actually, it's sitting on the floor next to me. I wouldn't be typing if it was in my hands.

It looks to have physically survived it's adventure through customs though. Not a single bump on the box.

Well, looks like I have mine as well. Whoop!

Got it delivered at 9:35am, glad I waited at home for it. Now I can go to that meeting with a shiny new tablet PC.

Mine was just delivered a few minutes ago. Ordered 4/2, received notification of shipping on 4/8. Free standard shipping.

Received notification of the 15% credit to my Amex account from Tailormade on 4/9.

Whew, I am SO relieved it came today - I have a crazy biz travel schedule starting tomorrow for the next couple of weeks and I was afraid UPS would return to sender after 3 delivery attempts.

I thought I was good because later that day I got an IMPORT SCAN (two, in fact), but now 3 days later:

I'm starting to get upset. This is a very stupid error, Lenovo ships thousands of laptops a year, surely they know they need to put the value on it...

Usually when you get the notice that brokerage released the shipment, it means you'll get your package delivered the next day (at least that's the case when it's in Louisville)

You're right, that's what happened.

Of course, now I need my brother (in the US) to mail it to me here (in Australia)

How long do these holds usually last?

Hopefully they will update the shipping status at around 2pm CST today and have something to the effect of :

A SPECIAL CUSTOMS DELAY IS REQUIRED FOR THIS LIVE ENTRY;BROKERAGE RELEASED SHIPMENT. SHIPMENT IS SUBMITTED TO CLEARING AGENCY FOR FURTHER CLEARANCE

Then you should receive it the next morning.

We ordered 2 X60 Tablets, 6365cto, and a T60 on the 15th during the sale. Initially we were supposed to receive them around the 28th. Got an email they would come May 7th. Everything showed up during the last two days, the 30th and the 1st. Nice Birthday present for me!
My tablet should be here Friday, since we had it all shipped to one location in Texas. I'm really looking forward to it.
