was the estimated ship date of 6/21 on your order status page and then it changed to 6/26 or was the estimated date of 6/21 given to you during check out?

the date i was given on my check out was 6/16, but was different when I checked my order status page, which was 6/22 and hasn't changed since.

Ya that's it, it was the 21st at checkout and on order status it's the 26th, for now I'm just gonna try to forget that I ordered one and try to minimize the agony of waiting

i called lenovo customer service today to check on my order (placed on 6/5/07), they told me there was some kind of delay. apparently some orders were corrupt and did not print at the factory. i had to place the order again over the phone with the rep and now my order is delayed until 6/28/07. :(

I originally ordered an X61s without WWAN, and the ship date showed an estimated ship date of 06/28/07.

I then cancelled that order and ordered an x61s with WWAN. The estimated ship date for this one is 08/03/07!!

Yikes, more than a month extra for the WWAN!

Wow. Well I canceled my build to order WWAN X61s and ordered an in stock WWAN unit from PCSuperstore. Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow.

I didn't think any store had the X61 tablets in stock yet. Hopefully this means Lenovo will be shipping our orders soon!

Hopefully it'll be here by Monday afternoon. :D

I just got back from vacation to find my X61T has shipped. It's currently in Kentucky....from UPS's tracking info page:

'THE SHIPMENT IS BEING HELD BY BROKERAGE FOR REASONS BEYOND UPS' CONTROL'

Anyone know what that means?

X61 Tablet (see sig for details):

Ordered May 31 4PM PST.
Estimated ship date June 19.
Actual ship date June 16.
Estimated arrival June 18...

however, "THE SHIPMENT IS BEING HELD BY BROKERAGE FOR REASONS BEYOND UPS' CONTROL"

Just as well. The memory arrives on the 20th... Don't want to start up a Vista machine with only 512MB!

Nope. I didn't buy any Lenovo extended service plans though. I only have the 1 year standard one.

Yes. I've gotten the same three service/maintenance agreement PDFs with every shipment notification.

The order has shipped in four shipments.

I've even RMA'd part of the shipments... my tablet sleeve arrived scratched, with markings that made it look as if it were previously used with a tablet pen. No problem, other than being told I had to pay for return shipment. (Would Dell have forced me to pay return postage? No. And I have a 4 year protection/maintenance on-site service contract!) They're sending me a new sleeve and waving the re-stocking fee. Interestingly enough, I ordered the tablet sleeve bundle. The tethers came in one shipment and the sleeve and pen in another. I had to send back all three on the RMA. (In one box  ) Go figure...

Wow they charged you return shipping? that is ridiculous..... I cancelled my first order 6 times and still it is shipping along with my new order I am not sure why this is happening. I hope they do not charge me return shipping as I cancelled 3 days after I ordered the darn thing. The CSR said there was a 0% chance of it getting shipped out and that she put in another "request" to cancel the order.

SFWRTR your configuration looks similar to mine I ordered 4GB of Corsair RAM from Fry's so hopefully it comes pretty soon.

It seems the shipping dates on the UPS site are off 1 day as the UPS CSR said that the unit will come in on Tuesday not Monday since their website doesnt correctly calculate packages the come across the International Date Line, Bummer cause I will be out of town until Monday afternoon- Thursday :(

I ordered the superview sxga+ screen, too. I ordered a lesser spec'd one than you otherwise, as I'd prefer to upgrade it myself later on.

hmm strange. although i wrote that i ordered 3GB, i really only ordered a 1GB stick its just that i already have a 2GB stick bought.

i think the only difference was that i ordered a 100GB 7200 RPM drive, and i didnt see turbo memory on yours. it must be the turbo memory then :D

To be clear: Lenovo didn't charge for return shipping. I had to arrange for and pay for return shipping.

I suggest that you call Lenovo and tell them that you will refuse the erroneously shipped package and give them the tracking number.

Then do one of two things:

(1) Call UPS (or whomever) and tell them that the package is a mistake and that you are refusing it. Give them the tracking number. With any luck, you'll never see the package.

If that doesn't work:

(2) Refuse the package in person when it arrives at your door, or put a notice on your door clearly showing the shipping number, the shipping company's name, your name, and signature saying that you refuse this specific shipment and that it was sent in error. Include a printout of the tracking page for extra security.

Refused shipments are paid for by the shipper.

Yeah, I didn't want to spend the extra $65 to get the 1gb stick of ram so I could spend $50 on the turbo memory, when I could get 2gb ram (2 sticks) and a 2gb SD card instead (and spend less)

I guess I'll get mine sooner too :D, it cleared customs and should be here tomorrow. Hopefully someone will be home to sign for it
