ordered an X61s (7668-CTO) configured with the 1.8ghz L7700, 4gb RAM, 100gb 7200rpm drive, 1gb turbo memory, fingerprint, bluetooth, 802.11 AGN, 3 extra power adapters, 4cell and an 8cell on 10/26. estimated ship date was 11/16. all of the power accessories (extra battery and power adapters) shipped out separately on 10/27. the laptop itself is showing up as shipped as of this morning, 10/31. pretty fast turnaround!

I ordered a similar configuration on 10/26th as well (10:30 am CST) except with Windows XP, 1 GB of RAM, no fingerprint reader and without the extra power adapters. My ship date is still 11/14.

I did receive my extra battery, though.

If Lenovo ships laptops in batches at the end of the month (as suggested by earlier posts in this thread), I hope I didn't miss the latest batch shipment and have to wait until the end of November.

Sigh.

that's unusual? i ordered mine early in the morning CST as well, and it's also being shipped very close to where you're located in the midwest. UPS status as of today states that despite an airline delay, it is on-time and scheduled for delivery TODAY. i'm still in disbelief and will not believe that until i've got it in my hands.

There were two shipments recently though; the 25th and 31st. My X61 was ordered on the 29th.

Wow, we're almost identical. I ordered 10/26, xp, 1gb ram (to upgrade myself), no fingerprint reader, no extra power adapters, and my ship date is still 11/14. My extra battery was split off the order, though, and that shipped 10/31 and is here. Eerily similar situation, huh?

Lenovo better not wait until after Thanksgiving to ship our laptops...

Whoa, Lenovo shipped it EXPRESS even though I chosen free UPS Ground. With the 13-hour time difference between Shanghai and NY helping me, my delivery date is tomorrow 11/8!

got my x61s on 11/2 after a 10/31 ship date (there was a delay somewhere on UPS' end). ordered it on 10/26 with the original shipping estimate of 11/16.

the bad news is that the ultralight display keeps flickering like a bad fluorescent bulb when i wake from sleep or boot from cold so it's going back to lenovo next week =[

Weird. It said "your package has experienced an exception" before. Maybe it was sent on a later flight and will arrive in the afternoon or evening today. (I wonder what the latest delivery time for Express packages is. Supposedly they will deliver ASAP since Express packages are meant to be time-sensitive.)

I just ordered X61t on 11/12. Has anyone ordered an X61 tablet lately? Any chance at me getting it before the ESD?

I placed my order on 11/9/07 around 4PM

My order is showing a 12/5/07 ship date.

I also ordered the same exact configuration, with the exception of the N on the WiFi.

Looks like I don't have to wait 15 days, I X61 just shipped. It took less than a week to get it out the door..

ordered my X61 on Oct 31, delivered to me on Nov 12, originally estimated shipping data Nov 19, so very pleased. I got it on sale with 25% + 20% off on that day, everything together costed 1300 bucks after tax, a real steal

So far boot up perfect, no dead pixels, and 100% amazement how better built it is than my Toshiba Tecra Tablet!!

Got 1Gig so need to get a 2 gig in soon, any word on weather mixing a 1 and 2 gig Ram still is a bad idea?

did anyone else get a shipping confirmation? I ordered a x61 and lenovo said it'd ship last week but I've heard nothing......I ordered it with the 8x DL dvd burner which I'm kind of regretting now.....

Received notice that my X61s ordered on October 25 was shipped on November 20. I am told by the sales rep that the delay was caused by a shortage of DVD burners -- an option I included.

I believe they have a message saying it might delay your order if you choose dvd burner. I guess they mean it :p

Yeah, I knew it'd be awhile when I ordered it because of the burner. It's still like being a kid on Christmas eve though waiting for it....Latest update on my ship date is the 26th now. They said due to delays with my screen, it's being delayed.

I ordered my X61 on Nov 15th. I ordered the notebook with out the docking station.

The estimated shipping date given is Dec 11th...

So, any ideas on when it might be shipped???

I ordered a couple recently.

I ordered a pretty stock X61 during the 30% off 10/31 sale, it arrived on the 9th of November. nice.

Then, I ordered an X61 T, 1.6 SXGA+ 2GB RAM 100GB drive, Dock, BT, Office, CDRW/DVD, Turbo memory, couple extras.

It shipped on the 23rd, should be here this week.

Already worried about the BEZEL and the size of the SXGA screen.

Ordered under CPP + 12% USEHOLIDAY discount on 11/25. Expected ship date 12/20 but ordering process showed expected wait of only 2-3 weeks (1-2 weeks before adding the 8-cell high capacity battery). No other options appeared to affect expected ship date.

Any clues whether this will have the IBM or Lenovo/Thinkpad logo?
