congrats on your new baby! what specs did you get? i ordered Feb 24 and I hope to get it soon. no notification yet though

It's pretty basic actually. It's a X61 Tablet with Multitouch+Multiview. I only added bluetooth, upgraded to 8 cell battery, and upgraded to 3 year warranty.

I stuck with 1G RAM 80G/5400 HDD because I figured I could buy aftermarket for cheaper. I bought an extra 2G RAM and a new 7k200 HDD, which both got installed right after I received the laptop.

Nice! is it 1.8Ghz and/or multitouch?

Mine is saying shipped now.
lenovo is getting much better. better than even IBM was when i bought my x40 new (2 week delay).

we have the same order date but mine is not yet

-Ordered my x61 tablet on Feb 15 to Canada

-Called this Monday to inquire about my order (no online order status checking for Canada atm )

-Called again today. Now the ship date has been pushed back to the 2nd or 3rd week of March

-In addition. I was told that in Canada they ship from China to a depot here (which takes 6-8 days), then ship to the individual.

It looks likes the laptop will take about a month and a half from the order date just to get to me

Mine just came in.
Bleeding fast delivery, that. I dont even think customs touched it, but it did go thru KY.

I ordered mine (X61s) last night - it has the DVD burner (in the dock) though, so it said that this could delay shipping & I'm in Canada...

Hopefully I get it soon!

Got this from the UPS tracking page - I wonder what it means... shipped from Shanghai, looks like it arrived in KY, then put on hold, then something else shipped from Shanghai...

The extra battery and power supply I ordered shipped from HK and arrived here the next day - amazing. I was hoping the computer would do the same, but its not looking good...

Purchased my x61s on 02/29 -- Said Ship date was 03/25...

Just got a shipping notification... On it's way to Kentucky from Shanghai...

Really not to shabby, only took 3 Business days to ship.. Which surprises me considering I changed quite a bit on it...
Unfortunately, so far too good to be true.. So I just know It'll end up being run over by a fork lift by UPS...

I ordered a new x61t last Saturday, along with a spare battery and ps.

The spare battery and ps shipped from HK on the 4th and arrived on the 5th!

The x61 shipped from Shanhai on the 5th and arrived on the 7th.

So, ordered Saturday and received it less than a week later on Friday.

I upgraded the hard drive, got the 802.11n card, added Bluetooth, and went for the 8-cell, so there's a fair amount of customization. I have bought another 2gb RAM and an external DVD burner already (for a total of $70). I figured that the 20% coupon and the never-ending sale gave me a good enough price that I wasn't going to benefit much from more waiting. I also gave the ecoupons.com "cash back" program a shot but I'm not really expecting to get anything back and it's only $60ish if I do.

We'll see how long it takes to ship. Expected ship date is April 3rd. Since I've changed a fair amount on the system, I'm not expecting it to be super fast, but from what I'm reading here Lenovo is getting good with ship times.

I was able to get a CTO for not much more than what I would have paid at the outlet. Estimated ship date is showing 4/7, but I'm hoping to get it much sooner than that based on what others in this thread have experienced.

Ordered on the 16th, and it shipped already. It's scheduled for delivery on the 21st.

Assuming all goes according to schedule, that means I ordered it on Sunday (more like Saturday night, though) and will receive it on Friday.

Ordered an X61T on 3/16 and it shipped on 3/20. Nothing too special; just added bluetooth, AGN, and turbo memory to the default CTO options.

Arrived this morning at 10. Very fast.

I'm surprised by how much bloatware there is, but I'm cleaning it up.

I'm also surprised by how intuitive some of the tablet stuff is. The main reason I got the tablet was for the high-res screen, but I may end up using the pen functions more than I expected. It's very cool.

Got mine yesterday as well. Extremely pleased so far.

just an update, mine was shipped last Feb. 29, received by March 3

I ordered mine on March 3rd (X61s) and I received it yesterday! (I'm in Canada). Very happy so far, though I am going to try calibrating the screen.

Ordered mine March 17th, last day of 25% off sale and last day of stackable 20% off ecoupon, 2nd bus. day shipping. Got 2 shipping notifications on the 25th and e-copy of invoice for full order amount with my future X61t's serial number. So I am thinking, "Sweet, should be here Thursday".

Wednesday, the tracking info shows up on the website. Odd, only one tracking number for a package that is .82Kg

Thursday, package delivery, I am now the proud owner of an X60 tablet sleeve.

Called in to see if Lenovo knows the tracking number for the actual laptop? No, they do not, but they are sure it should ship by the end of the week, or maybe it will show up by the end of the day. If it doesn't show up by the end of the day, I should call tommorrow and get a refund of my $25 shipping fee.

Still praying for a late UPS delivery.....

Friday. 10:45 Yay laptop arrives, now to start playing...

Just want to share my sad story.
I made an order from outlet store on 3/11.
Got a call from Lenovo rep yesterday, " We don't have the laptop at the same specification for your order and we won't be able to fulfill your order!!"
What the heck are they talking about? I'm waiting to have a new laptop for 2 weeks and then they called me that they can't do anything because they don't have the same spec laptop in their inventory. Give me a break. I bought some accessories for my expected-new laptop and I don't know what can I do at this point. She said she will give my contact number to her supervisor and wish someone can solve my problem.
Just another case of Lenovo customer service problem, who care.

Should I call them up and tell them that I will only be in the US for a week to pick it up? I read some other posts here that even though they got 4-6 week delivery dates on the order status, it was shipping out much earlier.....

Ordered on 3/29 shipped today, waiting for the tracking #... I hope I will like the x61t since I've been using the X41 for 2 years now! Plan on installing XP Tablet edition, FreeBSD 7.

Although, the only bad thing is... I'm 8000 miles away from where it's being shipped to. I wonder if they will ship it to Hong Kong?
