Yes, but the T60's battery won't charge as fast with the smaller adapter.

Also, things may be limited by the BIOS to conserve power such as slowing of the CPU.

How can I tell which adapter is smaller? As shipped, both are 65v, 20w adapters.

I believe you meant 65W 20V. If that is the case then you have to X60 adapters. The T60 adapter will be physically larger and be rated for 90W 20V.

Hmm interesting. (yes correct as to 65w 20v). Any reason you can think of that Lenovo would seal this 65w 20 v adapter inside of my T60 box. I have a 1953D6U.

Will I see improved functionality with the correct adapter? I havent had any problems so far. Sorry this is more of a T60 related matter.

I don't think you'll see any issues other than the battery may take longer to charge and the adapter may get hot if you're pushing the machine hard.

Sorry should have mentioned this - i always forget about the integrated graphics machines. The 65W adapter is the correct adapter for T60 systems with integrated graphics, it it the discrete (ATI) models which require the 90W adapter

thats normal - the adapters do get quite toasty
