#1 Post by NYC10022 » Wed Aug 16, 2006 1:14 pm

With battery inserted in machine and machine plugged into A/C outlet, is there any way to turn off battery charging?

Power Manager ( the green battery icon on the taskbar) has options to stop charging at a specified percentage.

Start the Power Manager, go to the Battery Information tab, click Battery Maintenance, and select "Optimize for battery lifespan (automatically charge for me)" under Charge Thresholds. With this setting the battery will only be charged if it falls below a certain percentage.

8-Cell Battery - Same for X60S and X60?

#4 Post by Abe » Fri Aug 18, 2006 7:42 am

I have ordered an 8-Cell battery for my X60S.
On the invoice and shipped information, I noticed it lists the battery as for X60 with P/N 40Y7003 -

Is this the correct P/N for the X60S ? (or is it a FRU number)

Thanks .. abe
