BIOS 1.04 vs 1.09

I just flashed my X60s bios down from 1.06 to 1.04, and because of the lower voltage in 1.04, seem to be getting better battery life. I have not noticed any of the whining noises people have spoke about, but the computer seems to be running warmer. What are your experiences with 1.09 BIOS in terms of battery life and heat? Is there anything else that is significant in the 1.09 BIOS? Thanks.

just the stuff they fix.
Im personally trying to figure out how to make my own bios. Where I take the corrections in 1.09 but remove the power correction so as to get the max battery life but retain the fixes.

I just ran a cycle with 1.04, I got about 2 hours better life than I did with 1.06. Well, well worth the tad bit of extra heat.

Question, how did you run the cycle? Did you use the utility built into power management?

No, maybe I used the wrong word, by cycle, I just meant one charge, from 100% to 3% with normal use, wirless on, brightness all the way up.

I just got my x60, the BIOS is already at 1.06, battery life seem to be at 5.5 hr to 6 hr range. So if I drop the BIOS back to 1.04, I will get better battery life but more heat? What other undesirable effect would there be if I rollback the BIOS?

1.09 works fine for me, I don't see any problems.
