Which BIOS do you run?

#1 Post by mfratt » Tue Aug 29, 2006 11:30 am

I run 1.04 on my X60s, and it gets better battery life than 1.06, but the fan is always on. Does 1.09 fix any of this? Which do you run? Which is the best?
X60s 1704-69U (Core Duo 1.66LV, 1.5GB, 100GB 5400, 12.1" XGA, WWAN, 8 Cell, DVDRW in X6)
External Storage: 250GB + 500GB Porshce

T40 Project: (Planned) P-M 2GHz, 2GB, 100GB, DVDRW

I'm using bios 1.04 now because I want the better battery life. I have noticed more fan use and would also like to know if there has been an improvement from 1.06 to 1.09 to increase battery life.

Also, does it put more wear on your computer to run 1.04 or something?

@Saml01

Did you notice shortened battery life compared to 1.04?

Never used 1.04 so I couldnt tell you.

I guess ill try it out one day.

Hell since I got the computer its been plugged into the wall. School starts on sept 5th. The first official day ill use it unplugged and we'll see.

Better to get a real world use comparison.
