Location of APS sensor.

#1 Post by ozmann » Sun Sep 03, 2006 10:07 pm

Does anyone know the actual location of the APS sensor in the X60s? I've noticed that the APS temperature in my X40 is greater that in my X60s, but the palm rest in the former is much cooler than the latter. In the T series photo on the TP Util Work Area, the APS sensor appears to be closer to the right side...

Edit: I meant to say, "the APS sensor appears closer to the left side..."

is the APS closer to the CPU (this on a T4x series laptop) ??
My CPU temp is very similar to the APS.

Whereas in the T60 series, the APS temp is like 5-8 degrees off CPU temp

gunston, your computer may have record-setting "coolness". Soon after I first start my X60s (AC power, Atheros wireless on), the APS sensor is ~36, CPU ~46. However, after 30-60 min, the APS has risen to ~50, with CPU ~54-55. What are your temps with wireless on? Do you have the Intel or Atheros card?
