Amazing no ligths, nothing, it does not turn on at all, after the normal BIOS upgrade process, the machine rebooted and got stuck in the startup screen (Lenovo, Thinkpad and Intel Logos) and DEAD, I had to get out the battery to turn it off, I called IBM and they are sending me a BOX, bad luck for me, any experience with 1.10 BIOS ?, thanks

I just installed bios 1.10 and it booted fine. You did wait for the bios upgrade program to tell you to reboot right? I noticed it flashed twice... probably once for the embedded controller and once for the bios before I got the prompt to reboot.

No problems here either. I've also read you need to disable any BIOS passwords you have before flashing...to be safe I pretty much disable all of the security features before I flash.

1.10 has a CPU microcode update that may be related to previous threads about running the 2 cores more efficiently. I've no idea if this is useful or necessary for most users.

I installed 1.10 last night in under 5 minutes, including the required reboot. No problems, no worries.
This release includes a microcode upgrade from Intel for the Core Duo. No idea yet as of yet what improvements have been made, but nothing appears to have been damaged by it.

what about the battery consumption?
how long it can last, one thread posted in the forum here stated that higher BIOS version did consume more power than the 1.04 BIOS version

I compared my x60s 1.04 with 1.09 and measured a difference of only a few minutes with same settings (wireless on, thinkpad default scheme). I too would like to know however, what's it like with 1.10.
