Not too bad. I got my 1704-69U for $1799+Tax ($1888.95 after tax) with an extra 512mb memory. Its a great computer, just runs a bit warm. I'd say theyre putting it back on sale to make room for Core 2 notebooks, but if you want it id say go for it.

That is a good price. I basically have the same laptop.

170469U 100gig HD, 2 gig of ram, EVDO, Ultrabay, DVD, 2 power adapters, 2 batteries, leather case and 3 year ThinkPad Plus protection for $2623.

It looks like they have dropped the price roughly $700. That is a pretty good price. I purchased mine in June of this year.

back to $2499 on lenovo site now .... yes than $1849 was a darn good price!
