Fn-F12 Hibernation Failure

In the past week my X60s will not enter hibernation. The problem appears to occur when programs that access the internet are running (IE7, Firefox or PDANet). It appeared after I installed 2 Lenovo updates: 4.1.102.147 Wireless LAN adapter, and 1.30.0609 Hotkey driver, though I'm not sure if this is causal or coincidental.

Initial symptoms were an alert on the System Tray saying "insufficient resources to run API". This went away if I closed all programs.

Tonight I don't get the alert. Instead, I get the Windows dialog box "Preparing to Hibernate", the screen flashes black, and I am back to the running programs.

Does anyone think the updates are responsible? The computer came with AC 4.12, but with LAN adapter 4.1.102.133. How would I get back to this earlier version?

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks

It seems like maybe I saw that Firefox was causing this problem. I don't remember for sure. Search on Firefox and hibernate.

It's a windows XP problem, acknowledged by microsoft.
It occurs when you have a lot of RAM in your notebook (more than about 1Gb).
There is a hotfix available from microsoft, which fixes it for me.

Lev, you were correct!! :D
The MS hotfix cured the problem. Though it happened after the driver upgrades, they apparently were not responsible.
Many thanks...
