Again, this is not normal behavior for your AC adapter...I have two and neither get so hot that I can't handle them. They do get warm when I'm charging the battery, but it isn't bad.

Return your AC adapter to Lenovo. Call and have them send a replacement. It's pretty easy to do and I doubt they'll give you any grief.

C'mon Nonny. No personal attacks against my post? None? And no spin doctoring on your board? Never happens. Ever. Really? Spouting "drivel" constitutes a personal attack? Or am I too "chafed" to see through the "non-valid logic" on a "quantitative" basis.

My post didn't request a spin on a hot ac adapter. I simply asked for a response from current x60s owners for their experiences. Had I known I would have gotten this much of a rise out of the post I would have never joined the board. In fact, before I joined the board I asked Bill if the question was appropriate -- he gave me the ok.

Thanks for the reply. I'm way ahead of you. I have a second replacement ac adapter from IBM warranty. It's as hot if not hotter than the one it replaced. IBM warranty has advised to wait for a replacement battery (on recall) before I request a replacement ac adapter. Just sitting tight for a new 8cell.

The question and discussion of it aren't the problem. The problem is the ratcheting the rhetoric up with the Lenova spin comments because either 1) someone disagrees or 2) the thread drifts.

People are allowed to disagree in this forum. Threads on the internet drift.

Back it down a notch. Do it now.

And, BTW, attempting to threaten me by mentioning Bill's name is not a good tactic to take.

Now I'm "threatening" you? That's sad. I can't believe this...

Probably best to just leave it go for now, come back tomorrow with some fresh thoughts or questions. Sometimes things run their course around here and disappear.

If only we had a time machine and some wishful thinking.

Just where is the respect for the Admin and everyone else here? The overwhelming majority of members conduct themselves in a relaxed, mature and dignified manor.

Is it really... that important?

Another character slur Archer? Where's the respect for new members? Which of you is capable of keeping on point of the original post without getting a swipe in and one-upping your buddy?

For the last time PLEASE keep on point. If you have nothing to add then stop trolling the thread. You know who you are.
