X60 won't boot new hard disk

I purchased a Hitachi 100gb drive to replace the 60gb in the X60. I put the new drive in the ultrabay HD adapter, and cloned the active disk using Ghost with no errors. When I move the new disk into the main drive tray it wont boot, with the message:
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable.
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent.
Operating System not found
Any ideas?

It's trying to do a network boot. The PXE messages are from the network card's option ROM, complaining that there's no cable plugged in, so it can't do a network boot. Try changing the boot priority order in BIOS (under "startup") or pressing F12 at the BIOS logo screen to choose to boot from the HDD.
But presumably it was booting correctly from the original HDD and you haven't changed the boot order, so for some reason the BIOS is not recognising the HDD as bootable. Does the BIOS see the disk at all? (eg can you select it for the HDD diagnostics under the BIOS?) Maybe setting "boot mode" to "diagnostics" (also under "startup") will provide more info.

Thanks GomJabbar, you were close. Unfortunately, I could not find the Ghost executable mentioned in the linked article (I'm using version 9.0), and it loaded with the OS, so no go on the command line. Instead, I found an open source solution called xxclone that kind of works. It allowed me to clone the drive and make it bootable. The Thinkpad starts and seems to run okay with the new disk now, except on startup I get a windows error: "ThinkVantage Active Protection System - HDD Logger Module encountered a problem and needed to close." Both the new and original hard disks are Hitachis, so I'm at a bit of a loss here. Everything else seems fine, however.
Thanks all for the help!
