8-cell battery won't charge, acting up

#1 Post by atb12688 » Thu Sep 28, 2006 10:14 pm

My 8-cell won't charge and the estimated time left keeps going up. The battery clearly needs a reset but that would take hours. Is there any way to make this battery right again without going through a full battery gauge reset? I should also note that my 4-cell is charging and functioning properly :).

EDIT: The battery is currently at 97% so i could just use it tomorrow and run the battery down and try charging it to see if that takes care of it?

Perhaps the Battery Maximizer program is set to start charging only when the battery's charge goes below a certain level.

As I recall, doesn't it have to drop below 95% before it will recharge?
