Task manager has no tabs

I was checking out task manager when I must have done something. Now the task manager has no tabs and only shows those that are logged onto the computer (me). In the task bar I get the task manager icon but there is no text next to it. So, I can not see the processes or anything else related to task manager.

So, does anybody know what is going on?

I searched on Google and a few other forums but nothing came up. I thought I'd try here first.

From Q314227, This behavior may occur if Task Manager is running in Tiny Footprint mode. To switch Task Manager to its typical display mode, double-click the top border of the window.

Another similar one (also not mentionned in the online help):
press ctrl-s in the windows volume applet -- shrinks it and makes the advanced controls disappear. I find it useful on the small X60s screen.
