Core solo question

Hi!

It seem to have X60s with core solo processor. Does it have less power consumption than the Core duo has?

Will it works more than the core duo veriosn from the same battery?

I have an X60 and the core duo is more than enough for my work.
I thin I could buy a core solo and get a longer battery time.... (if the core solo consumes less power).....

I found that:
T1400: 27W
T1300: 27W
L2400: 15W
T2400: 31W

Is there anybody here who used core solo x60s?

Thanks!

In a word, no, you can disable a core on a Core Duo and it operates as a Core Solo until you re-enable it. Also the Core Solo is actually just a Code Duo chip with one of the cores permenantly disabled (basicaly, although it has two cores, one is disabled by the contruction of the chip rather than by the Bios)

MODERATOR EDIT: No need to quote the entire post if you are the first responder, unless you are only addressing a small portion or a single question. It wastes storage space.

I just looked at the September 2006 edition of the tabook and it doesn't list any X60(s) with a Core Solo processor, so I think you are mistaken. Such a ThinkPad does not exist.
