Atheros Wifi card and Netstumbler

Anyone who can success to use Netstumbler browse the Network which using Atheros wifi card?
The application always respond "No APs active", in fact, the area have 3 active APs

Netstumbler works on my T41 with IBM 11 a/b/g Atheros card. I just installed it and it works. ... JD Hurst

Netstumbler 0.4.0 works for me on my Atheros equipped X60.
You have to select the NDIS adapter under device - selecting the
Atheros device does not work.

What is the advantage of NetStumbler compared to any software that comes with the ThinkPad?
