Keyboard beeps -- strange or normal?

When I type on my X60s and almost simultaneously press keys "Y", "U" and any other in the their upper row (as in "you" when typed really fast), the computer suddenly emits a deep loud beep.

The same happens with keys "J"+"K'", and "N" + "M" plus any other key in their respective rows.

Is it normal?

I took the machine in for inspection, and they smartly advised me to mute it while typing. :)

However, they did check hardware and even replaced the keyboard -- just to confirm that the beep occurs on another keyboard as well.

Just curious if this occurs on your X60s as well. It would be nice to be able to disable it in some way other than muting the system.

Madana

This has been posted before. Click on the Search button at the top of the page, and type 3 key beep type in the text box, and choose Search for all terms. You will find several threads on this issue. If you change the search terms, you will probably find more threads on it.
