Anyone have this problem?

I go to school, normal day, go online via wireless....schools over come home, and the wireless doesn't work in my room...the WiFi picks up the signal as excellent but when I try to go on google.com it doesn't load. what gives?
only thing out of the ordinary was that I did windows update

Hi...
Just a thought...
Do you put the laptop in standby from school to home?
If so, you may still have an ip address bound to the protocal stack and the laptop does not aquire a new address from the dhcp access point at home.
Try doing an ipconfig and see what your ip address is at school and compare it with your address from the home ap.

sonds like you dont have internet signal on your wireless. you will get wifi as excellent but there is no there there
