Easy(ier) Undocking?

I often put my laptop in standby at night, while leaving it in the X6 base. I need to take it with me in the morning. Is there any way to change it so that it does not (a) require you to software undock (via undock button or fn-f9) and (b) does not resume from standby when you undock?

This may help:

Open ThinkPad Power Manager (Control Panel->Power Options->Power Manager->Launch Power Manager) then go to Global Power Settings->Advanced. There choose desired option for Undock Action.

I chose "No Action".

I am not sure if there is any other way to undock besides the button or Fn-F9.
