no updates yet,
SXGA+ is an option for a customized X60s.
Normally, XGA for X60s would be the prime option across the region and many other countries.
1. T43 2668-B97 14" SXGA+ 1.5G RAM 9cells
2. X60s 1703-CA3 powerful

I think you mean that SXGA+ is only available as an option on the X60 tablet, right?

I'm planning on buying an x60 or an x60s.... but the two things holding me back is the lack of the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the XGA screen. I don't even know if they are planning on eventually switching to a glossy screen for this computer.

Well thats good.... but what about the screens? And I've heard people say they would rather have an XGA screen on a 12 inch opposed to a SXGA+. Why would someone rather have the XGA?

Well, there are a number of reasons for preferring XGA on a small screen, one of which is the tiny pixel pitch - IIRC, SXGA+ on 12" is smaller than UXGA on 15". But for many nowadays, 10-11" widescreen laptops now have more pixels than than XGA screen, and for me it's about time a higher-resolution OPTION existed for something as big as a 12" notebook.

I imagine a big reason why it took so long is power usage and additional weight, both of which are super-important for the ultra-compact market.
