Security chip error problem?!

hey guys i just found this forum and im sad to say that my first post will be about my new thinkpad not working!

my laptop is an X60s, 17044JU. 60GB HDD, 512MB ram, an X6 base, finger print reader and bluetooth.

so here's the situation.

when i turn my laptop off and leave it off for a number of hours, like when i go to sleep, it has trouble starting up again when i hit the power switch.

the computer doesn't even post or show a screen. instead it just beeps, and according to the manual it seems to be a security chip problem. so i went into the BIOS and disabled the chip, yet it still seems to have problems.

the only way that the laptop will boot up, post and load windows is if i restart the computer a number of times, somewhere in the nieghborhood of ten times. now this only happens when i turn my computer off and other than this the laptop has been great.

so what i want to know is, is there anyway i can fix this myself, as i really need the laptop for work purposes.

well i checked with the lenovo website and it seems its either a motherboard or memory problem. the memory i can deal with, however im guessing i would need to send the laptop in for servicing if its the motherboard.

something that seems odd to me though, is that the computer works perfectly fine when it is runnig. ive had no lockups or errors when im working, it just has a serious problem when booting up.

anyone else have these kind of problems?
