#1 Post by pingp » Fri Dec 08, 2006 5:05 am

Hallo,

I am working with Ubuntu 6.10 and have a 20' extra Monitor (1600X1200) at office and a 19' Monitor (1280X1024) at home. I want to active the dual head (2 desktops) but with no luck. I have spent days on it (all resource Forum search here, thinkwiki etc) but can not make it work.

Who can share own xorg.con with me? thousands thanks

I googled on ubantu newsgroups and got this:
http://groups.google.it/group/ubuntulinux

It is from Italy, but written in English.

If you search around, you should be able to find a newsgroup.

In general I recommend that if people want to run Linux, they use the IBM/Lenovo standard approved software which is Novell SLED. It installed quite easily for me and there are several newsgroups where you can post questions like this.

If you look under the Linux forum of this site you will see a posting by me which gives you all the information for installing SLED and it tells you the newsgroups to contact. You might try posting to the Novell newsgroups and they may have an answer to your question.

Thanx, but the policy by our institut forces to use Debian or Ubuntu.
