Looking for Intervideo DVD software for refurbished X60s

Hello,

I just bought a preowned X60 1702 model and an ultrabase - the unit shipped with no recovery discs. Therefore, no initial copy of Intervideo DVD software is available to me.

I have Intervideo ver. 4 and hoped that an upgrade would work; however, to no avail, the upgrade from the X60 driver matrix refuses to work on that installed ver. 4.

Any idea how to get it to work?

thanks

Gerd

If the recovery partition is intact, you can recover to factory with the ultrabase and DVD drive installed and will install the DVD software.

My apologies for being off for some time.

Nope, the unit came refurbished (ITXchange.com) with an Os license sticker but with a clean HDD.

So, the Service PArtition is not an option.

so long,

Gerdh

This is commercial software and you have to pay for it unless you have a copy that has been preinstalled or on the Product Recovery Discs. IBM/Lenovo does not have any download for this software, only updates. The updates will not work by themselves, you have to have WinDVD already installed.
