Will X60 work properly without XP tablet edition?

I am unsure. I have another post open on if I can get drivers for it after which I am pretty sure I can. I am unfamiliar as to why and what Tablet Edition was made and if Xp Pro would not work properly etc etc. As a whole the company doesnt have a version of XP tablet but is considering purchasing it with a few licences if needed.
