x60 8 cell case: axio? shinza zeroshock?

hello! i just got my x60 8 cell last week and i'm excited to take it around without a power cord

all i need now is a case... i'm looking for something semi-hard (much like the shinza zeroshock) or hard, that is as small as possible (preferably without handles or extra flaps, etc)
i'm under the impression from these forums that the 12" zeroshock fits the 8 cell snugly, but i just wanted to see if there were any similar options out there.
has anyone used any of these?
axio 13.3" macbook hardsleeve (
http://axio-usa.com/downloads/HARDSLEEVE.pdf)
booq vyper xs (on closeout!!!! 4.99!!!!) or any of the other booq cases? (

thanks everyone so much in advance!

I heard that both the X60 or X60 tablet with 8 Cell battery will not fit in the 12" Zero Shock III case-can anyone correct me if I'm wrong? Someone actually wrote that they used a 14" case that fit both the laptop and the charger in the case, but that seems a tad annoying and the charger might shift around scratching the laptop. Perhaps someone can confirm if the 13" zero shock case is a better fit with either the x60 or x60 tablet with 8 Cell battery attached?
Users on these forums seem to have a lot of experience so I hope to see some replies as well!

----Yes I too wish someone with any experience would reply! I'd love to have a zip up case-------~!!!!

I've got a 13" ZeroShock case. Send me a x60 and I'll test it out.
(actually, I'm looking to buy a X60, so if you don't find out beforehand, perhaps I can let you know in a month)

Not sure about the X60 or X60T, but I just purchased a Shinza 12-inch ZeroShock III sleeve, and it fits the X60s with 8-cell battery. There's about a half-inch to spare on each of three sides, and I have no problem zipping it up.
I also have one of the original 11-inch ZeroShock sleeves, which is a very tight fit for my X60s when equipped with a slim 4-cell battery. It's a great combination if you know you'll be using the notebook for only an hour or two.

I'm the owner of a x60 1706-86U and the original 12inch Shinza ZeroShock Sleeve. The laptop fits nicely with the 8cell battery. The dimensions for the old and new III are very close, so it seems the new design will also fit nicely.
Here are the dimensions:
OLD(mine):
Exterior dimensions (W x D x H): 12.40 x 0.98 x 10.43 inches (315 x 25 x 265 mm)
Interior dimensions (W x D x H): 11.42 x 1.57 x 9.45 inches (290 x 40 x 240 mm)
New(III):
Exterior dimensions (W x D x H): 12.4 x 1.0 x 10.6 inches (315 x 25 x 270 mm)
Interior dimensions (W x D x H): 11.4 x 1.6 x 9.4 inches (290 x 40 x 240 mm)

hello all,
thanks for the helpful replies. since i'm too impatient to wait for any insight on the axio or booq, i just went ahead and bought the booq vyper xs. it was $4.99 after all. $4.99!!! it has similar dimensions to the zeroshock:
zeroshock interior: 11.4x1.6x9.4
booq interior: 11.2x 1.4x 9.1
and since there seems to be a little wiggle room for the 8cell in the zeroshock, i went ahead and ordered the booq. the only thing NOT cool was that shipping was 9.16.... !!!! what?! ::sigh::
anyways, i'll let you guys know what happens. if it turns out to be a good fit, hopefully someone else will get to enjoy the good deal too!!

Hi there, thanks for your note above.
1. Did you made a mistake?
OLD(mine):
Exterior dimensions (W x D x H): 12.40 x 0.98 x 10.43 inches (315 x 25 x 265 mm)
Interior dimensions (W x D x H): 11.42 x 1.57 x 9.45 inches (290 x 40 x 240 mm)
How can the internal D is bigger than exterior?
2. Can you please advise me the precise x60 with 8 cells dimensions (in cm)?
Thank you.

hi guys,
got my vyper xs in the mail 2 days ago, and i'm pretty happy with it. the lenght and width dimensions fit the 8cell x60 perfectly - no shifting about. the only thing that i think could be better is that there is a bit of extra height in between the case and the computer when when it's all zipped up (as in, it's not shifting around length or width-wise, but there's extra space height-wise). the case is not as thick as the zeroshock, but it's got a semi hard shell lined with a material similar to the zeroshock (foam that sort of keeps a dimple if you press a finger into it).
i haven't seen the 12" zeroshock with the 8cell, so i don't know how that fits, but the fit of the vyper and the 8cell is definitely not as snug as how the 11" zeroshock fits with the 4 cell (if you guys have seen that at all). however, for the price, i'm super happy with this case
take care,
a

I just picked up both a Viper XS and a Viper XXS for $10 total, thanks to you!
I think the XXS will be for days I travel with the slim 4 cell and the XS for days with the 8-cell.

That's exactly what I do. I'm pleased with the fit that these too Booq Vipers give me with my x60s. For $5 each, they are a great deal (shipping sucks, though). However, I find it hard to believe that people were paying $50 for these. $20-$30: maybe, but not $50.
