Interesting CPU Clock Speed for L2400

CPU speed is set to "Lowest" in the IBM Power Manager while using Battery.
Interestingly, the lowest throttled speed is 730Mhz.

Hm, if I remeber correctly mine is set to 1 GHz :o

So yours consumes less battery.

thx for the info,

how come mobile meter is showing 1ghz instead though,

and btw, is 45 degrees your the average temperature running lowest clock speed?

the idle temperature is remaining at 50-53degC with the FAN OFF,
simple word processing tasks, WiFi OFF.

The value in System Properties is (often) bogus. Use something like CPU-Z if you want to check the current clockspeed.

boon - my X60s is idling at 46C locked at lowest speed (in a warm room with no aircon).

I have mine set to maximum performance while on AC power and system properties still shows a processor speed a little more than 900 mhz. Shouldn't I see 1.6? :(
